Running Accomplishments:

I have placed in the top three of my age group in the Valley of Fire half marathon twice I believe. (doing this from memory) I placed 2nd in my age group for the Coyote challenge one year for the 5K. (once more from memory, dont remember the year, gotta look it up.) and ran varsity cross country and track and field in High School. weee! Also ran at Dixie State last season, was the fastest but it was a lovely learning experience and oppertunity!

Short-Term Running Goals:

hmmm, I want to drop my 5K times to 25 minutes and change.

I want to run the Diamond Valley Half Marathon all the way through comfortably.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Complete a half marathon in under 2 hours. Complete a marathon in under 5 hours.

Actually make it to run the St George marathon. (have planned on it but never really set my sights high and trained well to be confident enough to do it. One day...in my life-time hence long-term...I want to Boston Qualify. =) one day. ;-)

keep running strong and consistantly

Personal:

my family is pretty much the most amazingest you can ever meet. (no biases of course lol) st george is super awesome and i love it. I love running, its fun but also relaxing and it truly does help you mentally physically and any other way you need. =)

So I ran the Spectrum 10K with my mother today. It was alot of fun. My weeks running was crappy, I did do cardio the other day with Ruth when we went biking, but today was it for running.

A race was what I needed to get me kicked and excited for running. It was so much fun. My time was 1:15:23. Way slow, but I wasnt doing it for time, I was enjoying time with my mom. And in all actuality I dont know if I could have brought it in much faster and still feel good afterwards.

I felt fine most of the time. My chest got a little tight at the beginning, after going a ways though I felt my breathing ease and my muscles get completely warmed up. So over all it was great. It makes it want to go run another race sometime. =)

As for the places for the report above...I didnt look. tee hee. I was just enjoying finishing and running again. =) A good starting place perhaps???

I concur, Kelli. But what if she doesn't love her mother? What if her mother threatened to beat her and lock her in her room if she didn't run with her today? It could happen.

See, it was my idea, and I dont live with her so I dont think she would do that. hahaha. Thanks for the encouragement! Running buddies are great!

Goodness, Burt! I certainly hope that would never happen!!! Although, I think my husband bullies me into running every day...I need to talk to him about that!

She did say she ENJOYED running with her mother, so I think all is well. I hope one day my daughter will run with me!

You're Tracy's daughter, right? I was just reading your report and realized it was you at the Pizza Factory. Glad you had a good time with your mom.

Do they still have the Pizza Factory in St. George? I remember we used to go there as a youth when we went on temple trips. I lived in Kingman. Before the Las Vegas temple was built we were part of the St. George temple district (even though Mesa was a bit closer.) One time my brother pigged out on pizza from the Pizza Factory. We made it 219.9 miles (less than a block from our church building), and it all came up in the back of our bishop's van!
